If you're stuck not losing weight on intermittent fasting, there are a few things that might have happened and what you need to know. First off, whether you're on a 16/8 or 20/4 intermittent fasting protocol, managing your total food intake is still important.
What most people do wrong with intermittent fasting when looking to lose weight is that they don't think it's necessary to look at their calorie intake if they're fasting. The truth is, it's quite easy to eat enough during the eating window to not only stop fat loss but also start gaining weight.
The second thing most people get wrong with intermittent fasting is not realizing that their metabolism will adjust over time as they lose body fat. Intermittent fasting might put them at a calorie deficit initially, but then over time, as the body adjusts, they're no longer in a calorie deficit and weight loss stops.
Lastly, we're all humans with flaws, and research clearly shows that we're not very accurate at estimating what we're doing with our nutrition. At some point, you have to honest with yourself and really see why you're not losing weight. The most likely cause is a lack of consistency with your food choices. This is what most people don't like to hear, but it's the truth.
