The late third century was a critical moment for the Roman Empire. Separatist movements springing left and right, barbarians at the borders, wasn't for the ascension to power of some very competent soldier-emperors in these chaotic years, the Empire could have very well collapsed.
Today, we're looking at some examples of the coins struck by these remarkable men and the numismatic legacy they left us.
