How would the world be if the USA and China switched places geographically?
Economically, the switch would likely result in a significant decrease in the GDP of the United States due to the loss of its strategic trade routes and the mighty Mississippi river. China on the other hand, could see a massive increase in its GDP as it will have free access to international waters unlike before and it will break away from its enemies like India, Japan and Taiwan.
Geopolitically, the shift could also affect global security, as the US would be farther away from Europe and the Middle East, potentially reducing its ability to project military power in the region, challenging the NATO, although it will no longer be called NATO. On the other hand, China's new location could put it in a prime position to exert greater influence in the Middle East and Africa.
On the plus side, the US will be closer to its allies but just next to its mortal enemy Putin, I Mean Russia. Do you think in this scenario the US could prevent Russia from invading Ukraine?
