Camma Classroom is presenting a new Serie videos - Series 2, Afternoon Practice Exam Questions 41 - 80
Gamma Classroom - Professional Engineer, PE Examination Preparation, Electrical and Computer - Afternoon Practice Exam Question,
Help passing the PE Exam, familiar with Test Question Types, understand electrical & computer principle, concept, theorem, promote test
skills, increase score, increase success ratio.
The test is eight hours long, four hours for morning test and four hours for afternoon test. The NCEES reference handbook gives the test
outline, you should check the handbook carefully and make sure you have reviewed and learnt all the topics that in the outline. There are
40 questions each on both the morning and afternoon portions of the exam. This average time for answering each question is about six
minutes.
The following suggestions will enhance your ability to pass the exam.
. There are 10% to 15% questions related to standard NEC 2017. For most of those questions, if you can find them in the NEC standard,
you can find the correct answer. But many people can't get all of the correct answers in the exam due to time limited, or too nervous,
or not similar with the book of the NEC standard that is on the table (provided by the classroom). So, you should spend some time to
know the structure of the NEC standard and know what is each chapter talking about. There are total 9 chapters in the standard, when
you see a question, you should know which chapter(s) should you look at carefully. You can't look for a answer from chapter 1 through
chapter 9, you have no so much time for one question.
. You should know how to use calculator to do complex operation quickly and correctly. You have to be similar with your calculator to
save time when doing the calculation. (Gamma Classroom provided an video to show you how to use Casio fx-115ES to calculate complex
numbers).
. Fully understand basic concepts in the FE handbook from NCEES. Check the electrical portion and try to remember all of them, because
you need those basic concepts to answer most morning questions.
The afternoon practice questions are included bundle conductor configuration for transmission line, negative torque angle for synchronous
machine, high slip condition for induction motor, AC premise wiring system, three single-phase transformer bank, power factor for
synchronous motor, three identical three-phase transformer bank, single phase source, under-excited three phase wye connected generator,
