As we started walking after parking close to the Washington Monument in DC all of sudden DC police started shutting down streets and sidewalks. A few minutes later we knew why. SOMEONE was leaving the White House headed to the United States Capitol. About 20 minutes later the motorcade headed back. I guess if you live here it's no big thing but for us it was exciting to see in person.
