Not everyone needs a focus device. Most people will be just fine manually adjusting the objective lens focus. But if you need simultaneous near and far focus from your NVGs (such as administering medical aid, administrative tasks, seeing panels in vehicular/aircraft interior, etc) then Focus Device accessories such as the Matbock Tarsier Eclipse, Phokus Research Group Focusing Device, or the various DIY Irises are all decent options.
