Some guns in the game use PMAGs, some use STANAGs. In real life PMAGs are plastic magazines manufactured by MagPul (other manufacturers make plastic mags, but PMAGs are MagPul specific). They're generally more reliable than the steel STANAG magazine and more widely used by Special Forces units. STANAG stands for Standardization Agreement, which was a NATO agreement which attempted to standardize equipment among the militaries of member nations in order to improve logistics when fighting in a coalition. Thats why the British L85, Canadian C7, Belgian Mk. 16, and American M4 all take the same magazine. They can all provide eachother with the standard equipment in a combat environment.
In the game Ground Branch the reload speed of the STANAG magazine was 02:061ms and the PMAG magazine 02:674ms.
That is, STANAG magazine reloads faster by 613 milliseconds.
