In the 80s German scientists published an article about impact of calcium on allergies. It was translated to Polish and the claim that calcium helps with allergic reactions was spread. The discovery was soon debunked but lots of Polish people still believe and drinks calcium tablets dissolved in water when a bee or mosquitos sting us.
Leaving unused antibiotics is a dangerous habit for the patient and society. I hope now it’s not as easily taken by common people but back in my days in Poland people kept unused blisters (Idk why they didn’t finish the course of antibiotics before) and just took them when they felt sick. Doctors were very keen to prescribe antibiotics for minor infections too🤷🏼♀️
