Picadillo is a classic sweet and sour dish made mainly with ground meat, diced carrots, diced potatoes, green peas and tomato based sauce. I used ground pork (pork giniling) for the meat and added hard boiled quail eggs. This Filipino Style Pork Picadillo recipe is a fast-cooking dish to cook that can easily impress your family. INGREDIENTS
½ kilo ground pork
3 medium potatoes, diced
2 large carrots, diced
1 can (225g) green peas
12 pcs quail eggs, hard boiled
1 pack (200g) tomato sauce
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 red onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups water
1 pork cube
1 tbsp fish sauce
1 tbsp sugar
salt and pepper to taste
butter/cooking oil
