This is the audio sounder that ABC News used during its radio and television broadcasts back in the 1960s and into the 1970s. It was more often heard just prior to their radio newscast on the ABC Radio network but it was also sometimes played on television as part of a news Bulletin - or - television promo.

Unlike the other network's radio news alerts from that time, this one really got your attention prior to the newsman breaking in at the top of the hour with the day's news.
