Our Tone Check host Aram Feriants has long been a fan of the Ibanez TQM1 and wanted an opportunity to put this amazing guitar through his own Tone Check demo and of course, we couldn't say no!
The Ibanez TQM1 is Tom Quayle's signature model, and one of the best-playing Ibanez guitars we've laid hands on here at the shop. Its AZ Oval C-shaped S-TECH WOOD Roasted Maple neck and fretboard are incredibly smooth to play, while its roasted nature means increased stability and tolerance to water/temperature changes. Its Super All Access Neck Joint not only makes the guitar more resonant, but makes high-fret access effortless. The guitar's Alder body and Monkeypod top are finished in natural and show off some gorgeous figuring. Some other great features of this guitar include Luminlay side dot inlays for easy fretboard tracking on dark stages, as well as Gotoh Magnum Lock machine heads with Height Adjustable Posts. The TQM1 also shines thanks to a set of Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickups in an HSS configuration. You get a clear attack, and well-rounded overall tone that's equally great for clean and distorted playing styles. The Tom Quayle TQM1 from Ibanez is an excellent choice for musicians looking for a stage-ready guitar that is chock-full of player-friendly features, making it one of Ibanez's best.
The TQM1 is one of the finest and most versatile electric guitars that Ibanez has ever built.
