Recipe 1 - Pidi & Varutharacha Kozhicurry
Pidi
Ingredients
raw rice & unakkalari (powders) – 1 1/2 kg
cococnut (shredded) – 3 nos
coconut milk -
water – 3 litter
salt – as requaired
cumin seed – 1 spn
garlic – 5 flakes
Directions
1.Combine both rice powders with hot water, garlic, coconut, cumin seeds and coconut milk. Make a small balls.
2.Boil the water with garlic, cumin seed and salt.
3.Add shredded coconut, salt and curry leaves.
4.Add balls into it and cook for about 10 mins. Set aside.
Varutharacha Kozhicurry
Ingredients
chicken (boil with salt & turmeric) – 3kg
oil – as required
curry leaves – as required
onion – 1 kg
green chilly – 250 gm
garlic (crushed) – 100 gm
ginger (crushed) – 200 gm
coconut (shredded) – 2 nos
coriander – 50 gm
Directions
1.Heat oil in a pan
2.Saute curry leaves, onion, green chilly, garlic and ginger until it turns to brown colour.
3.Fry shredded coconut with coriander and chilly. Grind it.
4.Add into the pan and mix with chicken masala.
5.Add boiled chicken. Let be allowed to boil.
