IN SERIES CONNECTION CURRENT FLOWING THROUGH ALL THE RESISTORS IS THE SAME.
THE POTENTIAL DIFFERENCE (P.D) MEASURED BY THE VOLTMETER IS THE P.D BETWEEN THE TWO ENDS OF THE EQUIVALENT RESISTANCE (Req).
THE VOLTMETER IS ALWAYS CONNECTED IN PARALLEL ACROSS THE RESISTANCE AND AMMETER IN SERIES.
HIGHER P.D IS OBSERVED ACROSS THE ENDS OF THE HIGHER RESISTANCE.
OHM’S LAW IS OBEYED AT ALL TIMES.
SO THE RATIO OF V AND I GIVES YOU THE EQUIVALENT RESISTANCE (Req)
