It's normal for the penis to bend slightly to one side or right when it's erect. Yet, if you have a significant twist in your penis, which may cause pain or trouble engaging in sexual relations, see your GP or go to your nearby genitourinary drug (GUM) center. These can sometimes be symptoms of Peyronie's disease.
Peyronie's disease causes the penis to end up bended when it's erect. The condition mostly affects men more than 40, in spite of the fact that it can occur at any age. The cause of Peyronie's disease is not yet understood. The condition sometimes occurs after damage to the penis when erect, such as being twisted amid sex, however, it can occur with no obvious cause.
Peyronie's disease may keep running in families. Some men with the condition feel pain in their penis, while others get none. If you do feel pain, it might show signs of improvement after some time.
In severe cases, the bend in the penis can make intercourse troublesome, difficult or even impossible. Peyronie's disease may also prompt erectile dysfunction. Some men needn't bother with treatment, as the condition doesn't influence their sexual capacity. The condition can sometimes improve without treatment.
