Dogs and other animals at a shelter in a rebel-held area of eastern Ukraine are being evacuated to neighboring Russia as the fighting continues to intensify.
Shelter workers say many of the dogs that reach the facility have wounds caused by landmines and shelling.
There are 800 dogs currently at the shelter according to Yulia Nebaba, who works at the centre.
"Because (the fighting) is very loud, the bangs, the shooting. You can hear everything at the shelter and the dogs are frightened by it," said Yulia.
