If you never learned your triplet grid make sure you buckle down and learn it right now. Then practice counting the downbeats while you play it. Then start singing.

If you are a pro and have been playing triplet grid on your snare or practice pad for quite some time, make sure you go to the next level and start counting out loud while playing.

You really need to know where the beat/pulse goes to this exercise, otherwise you aren't really playing it.
