On the 30th anniversary of Tom Chambers’ legendary dunk over Mark Jackson, we take a look back at some of Chambers’ best dunks and the stories behind them, in a countdown style video.

On January 27th 1989, Tom Chambers of the Phoenix Suns threw down one of the greatest game dunks in NBA history over Mark Jackson of the New York Knicks. This iconic dunk is just one of many spectacular dunks made by Chambers over the course of his 16-year NBA career. Frustratingly, the NBA has kept many of those dunks locked away and unavailable to the public.

This video features several great dunks by Chambers along with the brief stories behind them. The countdown is being limited to just eight dunks to recognize that there are many other worthy dunks that could not be included, and would surely make a for much larger countdown.
