In this video, I take a walk through London on a Sunday afternoon during Coronation weekend. I start at the Southbank Centre and make my way to Buckingham Palace, passing by some of the city's most iconic landmarks along the way.
As I cross the river, I pass by Big Ben, a famous clock tower in Westminster that has been standing since 1859.
Moving on, I walk past Horse Guards Parade, a large parade ground in central London that has been used for military ceremonies since the 17th century.
St. James's Park offers a peaceful escape from the city, with its picturesque lake and lush greenery. The park was originally a hunting ground for King Henry VIII.
Continuing on, I walk along the Mall, a grand boulevard that leads to Buckingham Palace. The Mall was originally designed as a processional route for royal events and is lined with important government buildings.
Finally, I arrive at Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the British monarch. The palace has 775 rooms, including 19 state rooms that are used for official receptions and ceremonies.
