This footage from Kansas City station KCMO-TV is a compilation of several mostly silent clips; the exception is noted in the description below. The footage shows former president Harry S. Truman and related activities in Kansas City and Independence, Missouri, 1957-1962. Included here are:
- August 20, 1960. Senator John F. Kennedy at Kansas City Municipal Airport, shaking hands with supporters before boarding the plane Caroline during the 1960 presidential campaign. He is accompanied by Kenny P. O'Donnell and Sen. Stuart Symington. Symington is shown speaking with KC Mayor H. Roe Bartle before he boards the plane.
- August 20, 1960. Sen. Symington, Sen. Kennedy, Mr. Truman, and Democratic Party Chairman Henry Jackson at a press conference at the Truman Library.
- August 20, 1960. A crowd gathers at the KC Municipal Airport to greet Sen. Kennedy as he arrives on the airplane Caroline. Sen. Kennedy arrives at the Truman Library.
- July 6, 1957. Dedication of Truman Library. Included are former president Harry S. Truman, and former first lady Bess Truman, former president Herbert Hoover, former first lady Eleanor Roosevelt, Senator Lyndon B. Johnson, Senator Stuart Symington, New York Governor Averell Harriman, former Secretary of State Dean Acheson, and Chief Justice Earl Warren speaking. (Sound)
- March 30, 1962. Dean Acheson and Alice Acheson attend the presentation of a Dean Acheson bust to Truman Library; the Harry S. Truman Library Institute for Foreign Affairs, meeting in the Research Room of the Library includes Earl Warren and Dean Acheson along with Mr. Truman.
