In October / November 2011, with sponsorship from the Country Land & Business Association (CLA) I undertook the first "Can't Get Online Week" tour, in which I toured rural broadband "notspots" and listened to people telling me the realities of everyday life living without broadband in 21st Century Britain. In this video, people from Marchwood, in Hampshire, Little Horkseley in Essex, Wray in Lancashire, Shap in Cumbria, Fontburn in Northumberland, Sledmere in East Yorkshire, and Moorsholm and South Stainley in North Yorkshire vent their frustrations about the difficulties poor broadband causes for their daily lives, their businesses, and their education.
