This light-field explainer video shows how we get the image to the eye in AR glasses.

The light-field projector is embedded in the arms of the glasses and bounces the light-field components from a holographic combiner (placed in the glass itself) to the eye. Each light-field component enters the eye through slightly different perspectives. All perspectives brought together reconstruct the full virtual scene right in front of you. In total, we send over 6000 low colour resolution images to the eye every second which makes it technically possible to display a flying bullet.

Light-field reconstructs the light just like it exists in the real world. The digital objects therefore perfectly fuze into reality. The continuous focus depth offers a natural visual experience free of any eye-strain, nausea and conflicts between real and virtual objects.
