In this video with guitar tab and chords we look at the Rainbow hit Since You Been Gone written by Russ Ballard Of Argent fame.

There seems to be some confusion over whether it’s ‘you’ or ‘you’ve’ as even Rainbow single covers differ. The Rainbow English single has “You” and the Brian May 1994 Album Live At Brixton Academy has the word ‘You’ve’

Russ Ballard also wrote God Gave Rock and Roll To You

Brian May uses open chords as opposed to Richie Blackmores barre chords. Brian also copies Blackmores solo line from the first solo which is shorter than the Rainbow Version.

The outro solo is different some what and is in the key of A as the last chorus changes key
