An look at an London Midland Class 153 DMU which is parked and coupled to an London Midland Class 170 standing at Platform 1 at Rugeley Trent Valley which was filmed on the 11th of August 2010
The Class 153 were orginaly Class 155 which were built in 1987-88 built by Leyland Motors, but converted in 1991-1992 at Hunslet-Barclay these DMU were the replacement for Class 121 and 122 Bubble cars
London Midland uses their 153 on some lines, Coventry to Nuneaton Locals, Marston Vale Line and Rugeley Trent Valley to Birmingham New Street while coupled to an Class 170 Turbostar, these DMUs also ran on the Stourbridge Town Branch which now uses Class 139, there is also an Class 153 which runs between Kidderminster and Dorrdige coupled to an Class 150
