Prince William is said to have been left "bewildered" by his wife Kate Middleton's sudden hospital admission last week.

The Princess of Wales was admitted to The London Clinic in Marylebone on January 16 and underwent successful and "planned" abdominal surgery.

Kensington Palace announced the news the following day with reports that Kate will remain there for up to fortnight and won't be returning to her royal duties until at least after Easter.
