Some parts of the UK might be experiencing their rainiest February ever, but it's unlikely that we'll break the national record for rainfall this month, says the Met Office.
The UK has had nearly a third more rain than usual for February. However, to beat last year's record, we'd need more than 213.7mm of rain.
"Some locations may approach or exceed record-breaking levels but for the UK as a whole it is unlikely to see the rainfall we saw in 2020," said Ellie Glaisyer, a Met Office meteorologist.
"In the UK we have seen 131% of the February rainfall we would usually expect."
