And Justice For All has been criticized by Metallica themselves about sounding “thin” because they based all the mix around the guitar and drum sounds that James and Lars liked at that time. Hetfield mentioned that they were playing a lot of shows during the recording sessions and because of that his ears were exhausted he felt the need to add more high frequencies to the guitars. Even then it is such an important piece of metal history for sure and most of us agree that it is the most aggressive Metallica album sound ever!
