The largest American health institution UPMC is launching a state-of-the-art Center for the Treatment of Malignant Diseases.
An agreement was signed in Zagreb between the largest American health institution "University of Pittsburgh Medical Center" (UPMC) and prof. Dragan Primorac, M.D., Ph.D., founder of the partner institution St. Catherine Specialty Hospital on the construction of a state-of-the-art Center for the treatment of malignant diseases based on the comprehensive concept of personalized medicine. At the same time was signed the Cooperation Agreement between "University of Pittsburgh Medical Center" (UPMC) and Zabok General Hospital and Croatian Veterans Hospital.
Under the new agreement, UPMC and prof. Dragan Primorac, M.D., Ph.D., founder and chairman of St. Catherine Specialty Hospital, are focused on opening the first of what is expected to be many cancer centers in Croatia, encompassing medical and radiation oncology, as well as diagnostic PET/CT imaging and other services.
