We got snow (!) so we went for a walk and I thought I'd try out my old Canon FD 50mm f/1.4 using an Urth FD to L mount adapter that I recently picked up!
I've never used this lens for video work because it sits on my old film camera, but it's impressively sharp. It definitely lacks the character of my other vintage lenses but this would be a solid option if you wanted a cheap 50mm prime with manual focus / aperture. I'd recommend getting it cine modded if you were going to use it full time for professional work as the focus ring is a little small and fiddly.
