Brabender application engineer Jens Müller shows how plant-based extrudates with a meat-like texture can be produced on a laboratory scale using High Moisture Extrusion (HME). With the TwinLab-F 20/40 laboratory extruder, product developers can immediately observe the effects of changes in material composition and processing parameters. Compared to a production-scale extruder, only a fraction of the resources are needed for the trials.
