2021 Nissan X-Terra - Family SUV! | Car CNN TV
It's one launch after another for Nissan, and this one will surely land in the country. It's the 2021 Terra, and it's ready to take on the recently (and significantly) updated Toyota Fortuner, and the all-new Isuzu mu-X. So, what does Nissan's pick-up based SUV have to offer?
Yes, it says Xterra, but it's essentially the Terra for the Middle East. It's not a new name for Nissan either, as it was first used in the North American market. Coincidentally, the original Xterra was also a pickup platform vehicle with its underpinnings based on the Frontier.

With that out of the way, let's talk about the new exterior. While the first Terra had a slightly different front end from the Navara, Nissan made sure the 2021 model is distinct from its pick-up counterpart. There is almost nothing in common with the Navara, from its four-eye LED headlights, large grille, and unique styling details. If anything, the new Terra is more like a scaled-down Patrol than a Navara wagon.
As far as facelifts go, this is an extensive update. Because of all the changes to the front, there are several sheet metal changes made. The 2021 Terra gets a new hood and fenders to complement the shape of the redesigned nose.

The major design changes carry over to the rear as well. The redesigned taillights look nothing like before. It's more angular than the ones sitting in showrooms at the moment, and two LED strips add further distinction from the pre-facelift model. Like the hood and the fenders, Nissan had to change the tailgate to suit the new lights. Also, SUV shoppers will be glad to hear that the 2021 Terra now has rear disc brakes, at least for the higher-spec models
