T cell activation is a series of stimulatory signals which are able to activate a T cell for immune response.T cell activation is generally stimulated by three signals which are integrated in way that Cd 8 and CD 4 positive cells with respective MHC molecules present on APC.
The first signal occurs after engagement of the T cell antigen-specific receptor (TCR) by the antigen-major histocompatibility complex (MHC), and the second by subsequent engagement of co-stimulatory molecules. The most potent T cell co-stimulator is CD28.The last signal may be present or absent and if present then T Cell produces Interleukins.
