Hi guys! So here's an AMV mash-up using 50 anime episodes and movies that aired or premiered in 2015, paired with 50 hit songs from 2015.

Five years ago, Kitsuner came up with the idea to use one of DJ Earworm's United State of Pop mash-ups with anime of the same year. He was making the video for a convention and under a deadline, so he brought me on board to help him out. The finished product was Blame It On 2009: A Good Good Year. Watch it here if you haven't seen it: [ Ссылка ]... I don't have it on my own channel due to some good ol' YT copyright issues, but you may have seen it on HeardYouLikeAMVs. People have been asking us to make another ever since. We actually tried to make a sequel with a third collaborator at one point, but it didn't come together too well and we ultimately scrapped it.
We saw that this year DJ Earworm's mix featured a crazy FIFTY songs, so we decided now was the time to tackle it. It took a lot of planning as we wanted to try something a little different (Spreadsheets....spreadsheets everywhere!) This time around, we wanted to pair the anime and music in such a way that when you saw a certain anime, you'd always hear the same song. This meant we needed to pick apart the mash-up and individually label each different song, then decide which anime from 2015 we wanted to pair it up with, based on the scenes we knew were available or just the overall theme. Some songs were more prevalent in the mix, others were shorter. We even made a spreadsheet with just lyrics so that we'd know what we needed to look for when clip hunting. (Here's a screenshot to give you an idea [ Ссылка ] ). This video took roughly two weeks of planning and two weeks of actual editing.
