In this video, I discuss my journey with weight gain while taking antipsychotic medication. I share about a period where I gained almost 60 pounds over a very short span of time as a result of the psychiatric medications I was on. I also share how I lost the weight and how I work on maintaining good general health and wellness while on antipsychotic medications.

If you are struggling with weight gain as a side effect of your psychiatric medication, I strongly encourage you to bring it up with your doctor. They should be able to work with you to find something that works better for you in terms of reducing weight gain, or they can help you find alternative means to help maintain a healthy weight.

I also just want to reiterate that, so long as you feel well and healthy, it does not matter how much you weigh. At any weight, you are just as deserving of love and happiness as anyone else or as you at any other weight. Focus on being healthy!
