BFES and BPS on scene of a working apartment fire in the 300-block 1st Street in between Lorne Ave and Louise Ave. The fire started in a windowsill of the residence. BPS were in the area and were first to arrive. A first arriving officer got a fire extinguisher and was able to put out most of the fire and evacuate the residence. BFES #14 Pump arrived and charged a line to the rear of the residence. Other BFES crews arrived and helped put out the rest of the fire and hot spots. You can see one of the firefighters using a thermal imaging camera to locate hot spots. All crews made quick work of the fire and everybody cleared within about 45 minutes. Units on scene were BFES #14 Pump, Quint 1, Rescue, Command, Ambulance 1-2, 2-2, and Assinibione Regional EMS Ambulance 52 (filling in for Ambulance 1-1). BPS units were Unmarked Crown Vic, Supervisor Tahoe, Supervisor Explorer, and a Patty Wagon.
