For the first time since becoming a full NATO Ally, Sweden hosted NATO forces for the annual maritime exercise BALTOPS 2024 – aimed at strengthening collective deterrence and defense at sea. NATO's newest member, Sweden, is hosting US Marines and Polish soldiers for the 2024 Baltic Operations (BALTOPS) exercises.
