This experiment was inspired by an incident that was observed with a lightning strike making ore in a copper mine float. lanthanum being one of the materials at said mine may have contributed to this effect and here we are trying this out.
it should be noted that this was done with pure lanthanum rather then the oxide that was most probably present in an ore.
