It is always a challenging role for any chest Physiotherapist to treat the patient effectively in Neonatal intensive care unit.It could be coz of difference in anatomy and Physiology at the same time most of the treatment procedure are passive.Effective results can be obtained if proper procedure is performed.
i would like to share one of my own experience , when i was novice in chest physiotherapy field , i was asked to do suctioning in one patient and i said i will do it ( as i had done it many times )but when the patient was one day old baby i wasnt able to do but as the years have passed now i am able to do it effectively.
containdications and methods of treatment is same like adults.
practice will make you good at peadiatric chest PT.
I am sure it will be helpful to the learners.
