Hello everyone!
A good friend introduced the series "Anne with an E" to me. A series based on Lucy Maud Montgomery's novel "Anne of Green Gables".
My friend thought that, aside from the story, I would really enjoy the aesthetics. And she couldn’t be more right. I love how Anne is very connected to nature and sees its beauty in all the small things. Aside from that I love historical costuming.
It has been a few years that I have a certain woolen thrifted dress hanging in my closet. I haven’t worn it a lot over the years as the sleeves don’t fit well with my shoulders and the dress misses a little spark. But now that dress makes me think of Anne. So, I decided to give it a little makeover in a way that I think Anne would do: I planned to embroider field flowers all over the top of the dress.
I am very happy with the outcome. Now I have a new favorite dress that fits my character and interests so well.
Hopefully you enjoy watching the video!
(please don’t mind the little wounds and scratches on my hands, I have been gardening a lot and sometimes not motivated enough to put some garden gloves on ;) )
