The MXR MC401 Boost Line Driver pedal is a simple boost pedal with one knob. Don't be fooled by its simplicity though as boost pedals only really need one knob.

If you use this boost in the front of your amp, you can push a valve amp into lovely driven tones, whilst using in the effects loop boosts the existing sound so it's perfect for solos.

The MXR MC401 is a great boost pedal and using it retains a lot of the low end within the mix.
