We demonstrate why you should enable the new [Match Dynamic Range] & [Match Frame Rate] settings on your Apple TV 4K box as soon as it's updated to tvOS 11.2.

We used two separate Apple TV 4K boxes fed to two TVs of the same model to show how the following aspects will be adversely affected if you don't switch on these settings:

1. Gradation - 3:06
2. Luminance - 6:22
3. Colours - 9:09
4. Daytime viewing - 10:02
5. Power consumption - 15:19
6. Elevated blacks on LED LCDs - 16:37
7. Noisier fan & reduced lamp life on projectors - 18:40
