This is a song against authoritarianism, be it right-wing or left-wing. Ensuring individual freedom, human rights and social progress is more important than economic details. (That said, personally I'm fairly leftist.) The lyrics are pretty abstract (abstract enough that you wouldn't necessarily think they're political?), but that doesn't mean you can interpret them as pro-authoritarian.

It might be a bit too repetitive and simple, but I kinda wanted it to have a "hypnotic" vibe. Not sure if that was at all a success, but well. There's obviously a lot of fretless bass and obviously utilising the fretlesness a lot, which I know some people find annoying, but of course this song isn't everyone's cup of tea in any case. Usually I'd never even consider having shakers in a song, but for this one it just felt like there had to be shakers.



By the way, what genre is this? Myself, I have no idea. Is it post-metal? Post-rock? Avant-garde metal? Avant-garde rock?
