We continue the beautiful 3D open world series in Unity, adding a crucial element to our project: water. In this tutorial, we create a stylized, calming lake for our game and add it to our open world scene. We use a water shader that can be used for any water body, such as a pond, lake or ocean. We also use post-processing effects to blend our player camera underwater, and learn how to customize shaders to match our environment and terrain. Remember, any of these techniques can also be applied to procedural worlds!
