BRING IT ON is an original song written by teacher Jo Reid-Speirs and performed by students at Bray Park State School. BRING IT ON is an acronym for Building Reconciliation for Indigenous and non-Indigenous Generations through Inclusivity, Truth and trust, Opportunities and New pathways. The song's lyrics reflect our school's reconciliation program called 'BRING IT ON'. Our vision is to foster reconciliation within this generation of children; a generation of children who can be united as Australians embracing and respecting the richness and culture of this land. Our performers include our choir and one of the many ukulele groups within the school. The performers include both Indigenous and non Indigenous students. The artworks depicted in the clip are original works created by our Indigenous students and Indigenous parents. The ukuleles are also painted with original Indigenous artwork by our community. Our BRING IT ON program delivers a rich program of music and art which has contributed greatly toward reconciliation. Our song has been learnt by our whole school and will become part of our repertoire for many years to come. It will embed our ethos of a shared responsibility toward the journey of reconciliation -- 'it is about me and you'. We hope you enjoy listening to the music and lyrics. Our students are humming the tune as they work and play. Thank you for this opportunity to share.
