Former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav met the governor on Tuesday, 9 August, to form a new government, hours after Kumar resigned as the CM.
"There was a consensus among all MPs and MLAs that we should leave the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Once that was decided, I came here and submitted my resignation as the chief minister," Nitish Kumar told the media outside the Raj Bhavan in Patna after he tendered his resignation.
