On this new episode of Run It Up ft. Enable, we’re going to be looking at the standings after Major II and highlighting the Top 6 players from the Top 6 Teams with the help of none other than Tommy “ZooMaa” Paparatto from the New York Subliners and the critically acclaimed Call Of Duty show, The Flank! Before hopping into the show, Enable takes a moment to make fun of Crimsix from Dallas Empire and challenges our editor to turn him into a budget Rambo.
Right off the rip we highlight our first team, Toronto Ultra, who are sitting at 6th in the CDL Standings after winning a championship from the CDL Major II. Toronto are only the 2nd full EU roster to win a pro league stage since Splyce in 2017. Bance, who Enable picked as his top performing player, was on both teams and performed lights out after receiving massive criticism on Twitter. CleanX and Cammy are touted as the duo to keep your eyes on but ZooMaa ultimately has us focus on the young amateur turned pro, Insight. Coming from a Top 64 placing in Challengers to officially winning his first title, Insight has definitely earned his starting spot on the team over Anthony “Methodz” Zinni.
LA Thieves recent pickup of Drazah shows promise for the future of this team once they hit some consistency but Enable brings our attention back to Kenny who seems to really be hitting his form as a Main AR.
NYSL were knocked out of Major II after not winning a single map but not without some standout plays from ZooMaa’s pick, Asim. He was quoted as “looking like a beast and always performing” to the standards of his IGL, Clayster who after this tournament is hitting his 3rd time since late 2018 where he has placed outside of the top 4 at a major event. Since CWL Pro League 2018 Stage 2 Playoffs in WW2, Clay has placed at least top 4 at 16 of the last 19 tournaments.
OpTic Chicago seems to have a problem of their players hitting slumps at different points in the season. Enable and ZooMaa seem to think that their best player, Envoy, is the glue that keeps more veteran players like Scump and Formal at the top of their game.
Dallas Empire are last year's champions of the inaugural Call of Duty League Season 1 and took home 1st place at Modern Warfare Champs. However for Major II, Dallas escaped losers bracket by 0.2 seconds with a Round 11 bomb defuse against Seattle Surge. With such a dominant team having to play down to the wire each time, the player that our duo chose to step up is none other than Illey. If Illey can get back to his top AR form and become a god at search and destroy strategies, Dallas might have another shot at winning a championship.
At the top of the leaderboard we have Atlanta FaZe who seem to be beating themselves in rounds by wasting time shooting bodies and teabagging the enemy team. ZooMaa is close to the guys on this team and recognizes that Arcitys felt uncomfortable on the map after heading to twitter to vent his frustrations about his performance. FaZe are without a doubt one of the best if not the best team in the world so our hosts remain hopeful that they will return to their dominant form.
Honorable mentions for top players include Lamar the IceMan who eliminated OpTic from the CDL Major II and Standyy coming in from the Challenger scene to boost the Minnesota Rokkr.
As we wrap up the top players rankings from each CDL team ZooMaa takes a chance to plug his show The Flank and tease Enable as his upcoming duo for later projects. We also count how many times Nameless says MINDBLOWN on the Call Of Duty League Broadcast before we wrap up with a gameplay clip of Enable nading himself in a game of Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War.
