Part 1 - Rooms (AkRoom) and Portals (AkRoomPortal).
Join us for the start of a new adventure as we being the first in a series of Hands-On Spatial Audio live-streams focusing on the realtime integration of spatial audio in the Unity-based Wwise Adventure Game (WAG). In this episode we learn about fundamental Spatial Audio concepts from Thalie Keklikian while Mads Maretty introduces the currently available Wwise Adventure Game Unity & Wwise Project. We then go hands-on integrating rooms and portals into the dungeon scene of the WAG, seeing and hearing the results in the Wwise Profiler, and then take what we've learned and apply it to Lava and a dynamic door in the DLC room. Along the way, we are guided on our adventure by folks in the chat, who suggest replacing the sound of the fire pit with the sound of the blacksmith from WAG. Hijinks ensue when we're joined by Benoit Santerre mid-way through and it's revealed who actually voiced the blacksmith character.
