Tens of thousands gathered in New York City on Tuesday to speak out against racial injustice and police brutality in the wake of George Floyd's death.

Floyd, a Black man, died of suffocation while in police custody in Minneapolis, Minn. after a white police officer kneeled on his neck for several minutes.

Floyd was laid to rest Tuesday at a ceremony in Houston, Texas.
