Viewers of the previous Ford Anglia video, where I tidy up the car's paintwork, will have noticed that when I tried to drive the car outside, the engine refused to run. I could have unclipped the starting handle from the bulkhead but as I wasn't in any rush that day to drive it, and with Drive It Day looming ever closer, it made sense to remove and inspect the starter motor to see what's wrong, and find out why it wouldn't run. Will it run after I delve into its inner workings? Only a few days before the Ford's diminutive 933cc engine had started perfectly as normal, so why it refused to spin over now was a little odd.

Please remember that this is not a classic car restoration channel or, nor am I recommending any one way of fixing a problem like this (it's not a "how to" vid), this is purely a log of what I did to try and rectify the problem on the E494A Anglia, which may or may not be applicable to old cars belonging to anyone who watches this.
