Song: Nao Chariya De
Music Arranged by: Mosaique & Surojit
This second musical video of Surojit and Mosaïque keeps strengthening the bridge of friendship through music built in 2006. It is a true example of ‘music that goes beyond frontiers’, an intercultural and international exchange of sharing and caring. The song Nao Chariya De originally sung by Abbas Uddin Ahmed from Bangladesh in 1969 defies the partition of Bengal because the song is in the hearts of all the Bengalis from everywhere. Surojit and Mosaïque re-recorded the famous song in Kusum Studio in Kolkata during Mosaïque’s visit in January 2018. The boat was launched and sailed through the waters of Bangladesh and Bengal and reached the shores of the vast Lac-Saint-Jean in Quebec Canada, sailing through Padma, Ganga, Saint Lawrence and the Saguenay rivers. It touched the heart of videographer and musician Michel Boissonneault, who decided to relaunch the boat on the banks of this great lake during Surojit’s visit to Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean in August, underlining the philosophy of Mosaïque that through music we can bring people of different cultures together and hope for everlasting love and peace between mankind.
