Coenzyme Q10 or ubiquinone is a vitamin-like substance that is important for the function of mitochondrial and energy in our body. There are two situations related to chronic pain that this substance is used: for the prevention of migraines and for statin-induced muscle pain. Statins are medications to lower cholesterol, like atorvastatin or simvastatin.
